40 year old autistic man Andrew Young (pictured below) died from a single blow to the head by Lewis Gill, 20, (pictured above) in November 2013. Lewis killed Young with a single punch in an unprovoked attack captured on CCTV after Young challenged Lewis' friend for riding a bike on the pavement in the Charminster area of Bournemouth. Lewis pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to only four years for the crime last Friday. The owner of a religious organization, Jubilant Garden Ministries in Uyo, Prophetess Grace Akpan, has been arrested by the State police Command for allegedly operating a baby factory.

It was learnt that Akpan was arrested along with five young ladies and four men around 4am on Friday February 21th 2014 at the alleged baby factory location on High Tension Street, Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo.

Jilted lover forces girlfriend to drink acid

A 23-year-old man, Christian Samuel, has been remanded in the Ikoyi Prison by an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Ijeoma Nwachukwu.

The police said Samuel forced Nwachukwu, 26, to drink acid while they were together at Cossy-Inn Hotel, Abule-Oshun, Lagos State. Our correspondent learnt that the defendant had been dating the deceased for some time.

Three Nigerian students sentenced to death for drug trafficking

KUALA LUMPUR: Three Nigerian college students were sentenced to death by a High Court here for trafficking 1008.3gm of methamphetamine two years ago.

Justice Kamardin Hashim made the decision after the defence failed to raise doubt against Chigozie Patrick Umeohudo, 26, Nnaemeka Nwafor, 25, and Chibuike Collions Nnebedum, 24, by end of defence case.

"I find that the testimonies by the defence could not be trusted, a mere denial and purely fictitious.

"The court finds that you are guilty and therefore, I sentence you to death," he said.

The accused were charged with trafficking at Jalan 4/40 in Taman Sri Segambut here at about 5.30pm on June 10, 2011.

In pleading for leniency, Chigozie and Chibuike's counsel Rajpal Singh said his clients had no previous conviction and came to Malaysia as students.

During the trial, it was revealed that the drugs were found in a biscuit tin.

Federal government increases passport fee by 50%

The Federal Government has increased passport fee by 50%. According to a circular signed by the Deputy Comptroller in charge of Operations/Passport and released a few days ago titled 'Passport Reforms', applicants will now pay N15,000 instead of N10,000. Terrible: Man Fell Asleep Inside Coffin After Attemted Sex On Teenage Corpse

A man who tried to make love with a corpse after digging into the grave was arrested when he fell asleep in the coffin, police in Cambodia confirmed today.

The 47-year-old man, named as Chin Chean, was caught when villagers saw his foot sticking out of the grave and told the family of the teenage girl whose body lay in the coffin.



Chin Chean told police that he started digging up the coffin at 10pm, the day after he had attended the funeral of the 17-year-old girl.
