Police IG, Lagos Police Commissioner Sued For N25 Million over Neglect of Mother

The family of a woman, Taskirat Anjolaiya, who was hit by a reckless and negligent police driver and knocked into a comatose state along with her new born baby, has filed a N25 million lawsuit against the police. Inspector General of Police Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Umar Manko are named as defendants in the lawsuit.

Ex-militant kills friend for joking about his missing dog

A minor situation turned major in Okigbene-Opuama community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa as a man allegedly took the life of his close friend over a dog.

The unidentified dog owner lost his dog and apparently didn’t find it funny when his 40-year-old friend, Sege-Daniel Olotu, attempted to make light of the matter.

The owner , who is reportedly a former militant leader, was said to be armed with an AK-47 rifle during his search for the dog.

Reports say the victim was not aware of the seriousness of the situation as the ex-militant shot Olotu without hesitation at a drinking spot.

The victim and others had allegedly cracked jokes about the loss and also invited him to join them for drinks at the bar.
