‘Dead’ man wakes up, grabs bottle of water at own funeral

Onlookers were shocked when a man, who was said to be dead, suddenly got up and grabbed a bottle of water.
The soft drink vendor in China faked his own death in order to sue the government after an altercation with government employees.
But his cover was blown when he became too hot in the Hubei Province, in central China. The heat was too much for him to bear.

The incident occurred around 4:00 pm, when more than 10 men held the “corpse” on a gurney covered with a white sheet near the Jianghan Road subway station in the provincial capital of Wuhan.
The men protested and claimed that the government workers had beaten the vendor to death and they demanded tens of thousands of yuan in compensation.
More than 300 people gathered at the scene, and 80 police officers were sent to the scene to maintain order.

After two hours of protest, the “dead” man suddenly stood up, grabbed a bottle of water and drank it before saying: “It’s too hot. I cannot take it anymore.”
According to Human Rights Watch, many Chinese cities employ non-criminal law enforcement personnel called chengguan who work independently from police. Their job is to monitor citizens compliance with sanitation, traffic, and environmental laws.

The group is not very popular with the Chinese public after a series of high-profile violent incidents involving chengguan members. In the latest incident, six chengguan members were detained after a fruit seller in Hunan died after the group hit him on the head amid an altercation.

The “dead” man, whose surname is Han, along with two others have, been arrested for disorderly conduct. After being detained, Han told police that chengguan members clashed with vendors early in the day after claiming that their carts were blocking traffic. They told the vendors to leave before confiscating their mineral waters and other beverages.

TRAGEDY: Woman Killed, Many Injured As Truck Crushes Six Vehicles In Abuja

Tragedy struck in Abuja on Saturday when a woman was crushed to death by a heavy-duty truck and injured many others at Biaji Road in Kubwa

The accident which occurred at 12. 00pm was attributed to the brake failure from the truck which made the driver to lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a woman who about to climb a motorcycle known as (Okada) and killed her on the spot while many others were said to have broken their hands and legs.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said that the truck hit the woman, throwing her body parts and her body into pieces.

The vehicle somersaulted several times before it plunged into the ditch. “The car was coming from Biaji to Kubwa Village and was loaded with beer but if not because of these bumps (speed breakers) the truck would have rammed into the residential building and kill many people.

The woman wanted to climb a motorcycle but was hit from behind by the truck, and the okada man escaped unhurt.

The accident, which involved six cars includes; a Toyota Carina 11, Gulf 3, Saloon Jeta, Mercedes Benz (230), Nissan Sunny and a Toyota Rav 4 were all damaged beyond repair. The vehicles were parked along the shoulder of the road while the owners were said to have been relaxing at a beer joint nearby.

As the time of this report the body parts of the woman were still scattered about the scene of the accident while the Toyota Carina and Saloon Jeta was trapped under the truck as large numbers of onlookers gathered at the scene.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Nigerian Police were seen at the scene of the accident collating necessary information on how the accident occurred. The Kubwa-Biaji road has become a death trap in the recent times as many people have met their untimely death as a result of incessant crashes of vehicles and motorcycles. Residents of this area have made several appeals to the Bwari Area Council and the authorities of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to come to their aid to no avail.

President Jonathan Begs Al-Mustapha To Join PDP

2015 is already here with us and the principal actors are not resting day or night, even mid-night, to strategize and re-strategize on our to get majority of votes from the core North and South-West states as it seems they will be the deciding factors in the general elections, princezzofnaija observed.

Information reaching princezzofnaija is that President Goodluck Jonathan was shocked at the large crowd of men and woman who turned out to welcome Major Hamza Al-Mustapha wherever he goes in the North after his release from prison custody last month.
Consequently, Jonathan has set in motion a high-powered lobby group:
And their mission, I hear, is to get Al-Mustapha to join the PDP at all cost before the opposition party APC will reach any deal with him and win him over.
Jonathan is said to be very worried, due to statements credited to Al-Mustapha recently in the media, where he was quoted as saying Nigerian youths are dying of poverty. The President, sources say, is disturbed that the APC may cash in on that statement to sway Al-Mustapha to their side.

Al-Mustapha is said to be consulting with governors of the core Northern states, who are obviously against President Jonathan. As such, princezzofnaija gathered, it would be difficult for him to accept.

I Impregnated A Young Girl To Test My Manhood After My Wife Couldn't Conceive

This man needs a child of his own but his wife has not been able conceive, for 12 years now. So, he decided to play an "away-match" just to confirm if his "thing" is active or inactive.

Funny, but it's current situation in the family of Mr & Mrs Onuoha, who reside in the Alakuko area of Lagos at the moment. From what we gathered, the wife is insisting that she can't take it.

40yrs old Mrs. Regina Onuoha, an ex-banker, has pleaded with Alakuko Customary Court to dissolve her marriage with Mr. Paulinus Onuoha, over infidelity.

The couple has been married for 12 years without an issue. The wife’s claim in court was that there was no more love in their marriage as her husband had become so irresponsible and uncaring.

Regina told the court that since they got married, she had been the one taking care of the house, her husband had been jobless. She said she rented the apartment they both live in, but with all that, her husband was still cheating on her.

She said the worst of all he did was the fact that he impregnated a woman twice while she (the wife) was still praying for the fruit of the womb.

“I was hopeful after the marriage that I was going to have my own child. I spent all my money on the efforts to have a child, but my husband never cared.
“Four years into our marriage, my husband impregnated a woman and then four years later, he impregnated her again, making two children while I was hoping to have one,” she said. She added that when her father-in-law died, her husband asked her to give him N300,000, but she told him she didn’t have so much, that she could only afford N120,000.

“I couldn’t afford the N300,000 my husband asked me to give him but I gave him N120,000 for his father’s burial, but he asked me not to follow him to the burial, saying I didn’t need to be there.

“He did this just to prevent me from running into his other wife and children because he took them to the village for the occasion and he thought I wouldn’t know, but I gathered the information from someone in his village,” she said.

She asked the court to tell her husband to come and pack his things away from her house as she is tired of the marriage because she didn’t have any love for him again.

Her husband, Onuoha, who claimed to be a trader, told the court that all that his wife said is true, and that he is very guilty, but he didn’t mean to hurt her. He prostrated to seek her forgiveness in court.

“I didn’t mean to impregnate the other woman, it was just that I needed to have a child with my wife and we couldn’t produce one, so I went out to test my fertility, to know whether I was or was not fertile enough to have a child,” he said.

He added that he was ready to change his behaviour and take care of his wife as he would assist her spiritually, financially and even physically in her effort to have her own children.

“I cannot even be sure or say that the other woman’s children are mine because in my tradition, if a woman is not married to a man and she has children for him, the children are not considered his until a proper traditional marriage is done. It is my wife I love, she’s the one I want to have a child with, please help me to beg her,” he said.

The court president, Mr. Godwin Awosola, told the man to seek God’s intervention over his home. He also told them to maintain the peace and stop abusing each other.

The case has been adjourned till August 17, 2013, for appraisal.

B-i-z-z-a-r-e: How man sets youths ablaze during argument

Doctors at the Emergency Unit of the Ogun State Teaching Hospital, Ijaiye, are battling to save the lives of four persons who were allegedly set ablaze by a middle-aged man in Ago-Oko area of Abeokuta.

The incident, as gathered, occurred Tuesday night after some youths gathered in front of the suspect’s building, gambling.

The owner of the building whose identity was given simply as Jimoh , reportedly asked the gamblers to leave his premises, following complaints of theft around the area, which had seen policemen combing the area with a view to arresting the hoodlums.

Tunde Adesanya,one of the victims.

But the youths who were apparently carried away with their games, paid deaf ears to the directive. Jimoh reportedly attempted to chase them away by shoving some of them aside, an action that led to a fight.

In the process, Jimoh allegedly ran inside, brought out a liquid substance later discovered to be petrol and poured on the gamblers before striking a match. Six of them were reportedly set ablaze, while others ran for their lives.

However, four of the victims said to have been badly burnt were reportedly rushed to the hospital while the suspect was handed over to the Police.

At the hospital, the victims were still writhing in pains. One of them who managed to speak to Crime Guard claimed he was not a gambler, that he only stood by watching those playing.

“ I was not even there when Jimoh asked them to leave. I only stood watching when all of a sudden, he came out, poured petrol on us and struck sticks of matches,” Tunde Adesanya said.

Other victims in the same ward were Saburi Seteolu, Raheem Bello and Suleiman Adebesin.

As at Thursday, Crime Guard gathered that the suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department, with a directive from the Commissioner of Police , Mr Ikemefuna Okoye to investigate the circumstances that led to the incident.

WHO, Boko Haram’s doctor arrested

The Joint Task Force, JTF, implementing the state of emergency imposed on Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, has arrested a medical doctor (names with-held) in Borno State, who is the medical consultant to the terrorist group. He is at the same time a consultant with the World Health Organization (WHO).

Vanguard gathered from reliable security sources that the arrest of the medical doctor followed a tip-off that the terrorists had a well organized mobile medical facility with which wounded insurgents are treated.

Shekau

The international connection of the medical doctor was, however, brought to the fore when suddenly, the international human rights watch dog, Amnesty International, sent its officials to investigate the circumstances surrounding the arrest of the supposedly WHO consultant.

“In fact, what gave him out was his suit case containing sophisticated medical equipment with which he provided diagnostic services to the terrorists”, the source said.

Disclosing how the doctor was arrested, the source said: “A truck suspected to be carrying insurgents and IEDS as well as other dangerous weapons was stopped at a check point but it sped off. Unknown to the truck’s driver and other occupants of the truck, there was another checkpoint which had been alerted of their coming. When the truck got to that checkpoint, the security operatives fired at it while the occupantsran into the bush.

“When the truck was searched, various types of IEDS, AK 47 rifles and other bomb-making materials were found. Also found was a suit case containing medical equipment. After some time, when the doctor felt the Special Forces had left, he came back to retrieve his suit case but was ambushed and arrested”.

The source added that “immediately the doctor was arrested, Amnesty International was calling the military authorities alleging that an innocent doctor has been arrested by the JTF forces and that he should be released because of his human rights, though the military authorities are not moved by their plea”.

In another development, Vanguard gathered that the recent attack at Government Secondary School, near Potiskum in Yobe State during which 29 students and a teacher were killed, was the fallout of the arrest of a lawyer with alleged links with the sect.

Vanguard gathered that the lawyer (names with-held), was the one who always provided legal services for suspected Boko Haram terrorists each time they were arrested and he was said to be an ideological/ intellectual contributor to their activities in Yobe State.

Following his arrest by JTF forces, the lawyer allegedly said, “So you have arrested me. Let me warn you that this town will know no peace until I am released”.

The source said that two days after, the secondary school near Potiskum was attacked and the children (students) slaughtered”.

After the massacre of the children, neighbours living in the area said they heard the terrorists shouting “Allahu Akbar, yes we have taken revenge for his arrest”.

The source said: “The most horrifying aspect of the students’ killing was that they asked the students, both boys and girls to pull off their dresses, and any student found with pubic hair on his or her private parts, was not only shot and killed, they also used axes or machetes to cut off their legs from their body”.

Both the medical doctor and the lawyer are however said to be in custody of the JTF forces and would not be released until investigations into their alleged connivance with the terrorists are concluded and they are prosecuted”.

Lagos barber killed by a Drunk Police Officer in front of his 2 yrs daughter

Deceased’s last words: Please don’t abandon my daughter…
Never in his wildest imagination had Bright , a barber in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, envisaged he was going to be added to the endless list of hapless Nigerians sent to unprepared graves by trigger- happy policemen.

The barber whose saloon also served as his home, is a single father whose dream had been centred on training her two- and- half years old daughter, to the best school within his reach. But he never lived to fulfil his dream.

Bright, as gathered, had opened his saloon cum home penultimate Tuesday. As usual, he reportedly bathed his baby identified as Ebun, prepared her food and kept her under his watch when customers came in to have their hair cut.

But, the unexpected happened at about 10.30pm. According to eye witnesses, a mobile policeman attached to a company, poles away from Janet Fagbemi street, location of Bright’s shop, stormed the shop and ordered Bright to come out.

The deceased, Bright

Eye witnesses told Crime Guard that Bright, who was then attending to a customer, left him and came out, oblivious of the purpose of the policeman’s mission. “As he stepped out of the shop, the Mopol shot him at close range . He continued shooting sporadically in the process of which four other persons including a pregnant woman were hit by stray bullets. From all indications, it was obvious he was drunk.

“It all started after the policeman who was on a short and T-shirt abandoned his duty post and accosted some men in a vehicle on the adjourning street. He told the men in the car to come down for a search. But they hesitated, requesting he identified himself before they would obey.

“Perhaps, their response infuriated him as he slapped one of them twice. While they were still trying to fathom what their offence was, he slapped the second man.

“Amidst frayed nerves, the men demanded to ascertain the identity of the man who assaulted them. At that point, the Mopol rushed to his duty post and came back with his gun, saying he would show them that he was just posted from Jos, Plateau, where people are killed anyhow. At that point everyone took to his heels before he went to Bright’s shop.”

How bullet hit pregnant woman
“A pregnant woman known as Ebere was in her house when she heard the gun shots. Suspecting robbers were operating, she rushed out to lock her gate , only for a stray bullet to hit her on the hand. Another victim, Nonso, was hit in the eye while the third, Tayo, was hit in the thigh”.

Bright’s last word
Crime Guard gathered that while everyone fled, Bright was left in the pool of his blood. On realising the magnitude of his deed, the Mobile policeman, later identified as Corporal Mohammed Abubakar, attached to Mopol 17, Ondo State, took to his heels.”

Even in the face of death Bright was said to have kept calling his daughter Ebun, pleading to sympathizers to rush inside his shop to ensure she was safe. When it was obvious he could not make it, he reportedly touched one of the sympathiser and said, “ please help me take care of my daughter until any of my relatives comes for her. He was said to have repeated the word twice. When he was making attempt to repeat it the third time to a neighbour he recognized in the midst of the crowd, he gave up the ghost.

“ He held my hand and appealed passionately saying, ‘please don’t abandon Ebun, no matter…’ before he breathed his last,”the neighbour disclosed.

Ebun, deceased’s daughter

Where are the deceased’s relatives?
As at Thursday, Crime Guard was informed that no one had come to be identified as the deceased relative.

A resident of the area revealed that “ Ebun was only six months old when her mother abandoned her. Nobody knows her mother’s name nor where she is from. We only know the deceased as Bright. We do not know his surname. He told us he was from Benue State. He did everything within his might to make Ebun happy since the mother left. He called her his little princess and carried her wherever he went.

When Crime Guard visited Ebun’s new home around the vicinity , she was seen carrying on with life unaware of her father’s whereabouts. But once in a while, her new parents said, “she would start calling out to her daddy . At that point, nobody can console her because she would be crying and at the same time, going about the whole place like one looking for what was lost. She has emaciated over night, even though we try to persuade her to eat what we all eat.”

As you read this piece, the remains of Bright, the single father who was determined to move on with life irrespective of its unpalatable experiences, lies at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital ,LUTH, Idi-Arara, morgue.

Police on the trail of killer cop
As at Thursday, nothing had been heard about the killer- cop who took off from the scene. Police authorities, as gathared, were worried about the weapon in his possession. In a bid to ensure his arrest, the Lagos State Police Command had launched a manhunt for him.

The State Police boss, Umar Manko, was quoted as saying that if the fleeing cop did not show up within 21 days, he would be declared a ‘Deserter’ and would no longer be seen as a Policeman but a ‘rebel’.

Police authorities have also called on members of the public to help avail them with information that could lead to the apprehension of the fleeing killer cop ,with a view to ensuring that justice was done.

Eid-el-fitri tragedy: Teenage boy drowns at Bar Beach

An unidentified teenager drowned at the Bar Beach, Lagos as revellers celebrated Eid-el-fitri in the area on Friday.

A fun seeker, who witnessed the incident and identified himself simply as Michael, said there was a heavy traffic of persons at the beach while there were only two live guards on duty.

It is usual in metropolitan cities like Lagos for residents to go to the beaches during important national celebrations, especially when holidays have been declared.

According to the witness, the teenage boy was spotted by a few people who were standing at the tip of the ocean.

He said three unidentified young men made frantic attempts to see if they could rescue the drowning boy, but they could not muster enough courage to move into the centre of the ocean.

He said the high waves of the surging ocean were too much for the volunteers, who eventually gave up the idea of saving the victim.

According to him, all the fun seekers around watched helplessly as the boy struggled and was finally submerged by water.

However, other fun seekers continued with their fun as if nothing had happened.

It was learnt that nobody came out to complain about a missing person before most of the fun seekers left the beach.

It was leant that a young lady initially raised the alarm, believing erroneously that the victim was her brother, but she soon kept calm when she saw her own brother.

Spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed the tragedy on Friday, told Saturday PUNCH that the victim had not been identified.

“The body has been taken to the mortuary. It is just sad that this had to happen despite the warnings we issued that people should stay off the beach because of an impending ocean surge,” he said.

Farinloye said the warning issued by NEMA stated that there might be an ocean surge of a minimum of four days and maximum of five days, appealing to revellers to avoid swimming at the beach for some days.

“People are allowed to go to the beach but they should not swim. For some months, the ocean had been monitored and the warnings NEMA issued were consistent with the signs that were noticed, which showed that there might be an ocean surge,” he said.

Watch video: two cripple friends fighting over a lady

This world is full of surprises oo, hahahaha, look at this cripples oo, not even a little pity for themselves and they are fighting over a lady. hahahahaha…I love Ghana.

I wear boxers because they turn my wife on –Actor, Leo Mezie

Actor, Leo Mezie, tells ’Nonye Ben-Nwankwo about his style
How has your career been?
It has been very challenging. The jobs have been very slow and not flowing as they used to. Investors are now scared of their investments. At this point, we are stuck, we can’t go front or back and the government is not doing anything to look into this sector and it is affecting the business.

If it is affecting the business, how have you been surviving?
The movie industry is just a stepping-stone for me. I ventured into it because I liked it. I see it as a hobby and not a profession. Even while I was doing the movies, I was still feeling I was a government person. I do about two movies in a month, I come back and rest. I am good in PR and events packaging. I started running an events and PR outfit for some government agencies. It has been very interesting. Despite the fact that there is competition, my popular face has sort of given me an edge.

What does style mean to you?
Style means everything. I had the opportunity to be with one modelling agency when I started my career in the late 90s. I came to realise that everybody is addressed by the way he is dressed. Your style depicts the kind of person you are. If you step into an office, your dressing will either get you a, ‘Welcome sir’ or a ‘Can I help you?’ I can’t imagine putting on full agbada regalia and attending a baby’s one year birthday. My style depends on where I am going. It is very important to me.

So you were once a model?
Oh yes. That is one area of my life that I have not really talked about. I started with modelling before I became an actor. I was with Modella. Then, I started going for auditions and it was taking my time. I didn’t have time again to attend rehearsals for modelling.

Why did you go into acting, was it that you wanted to be more prominent?
It wasn’t anything like that. I didn’t like the way we walked in the modelling world. Our walk was just the way the females walk. I was told that the walk on the runway was different from the way you walk on the streets. And then, each time I went for movie audition, I got a role. I decided to quit modelling.

As a showbiz personality, don’t you take out time to look good?
Looking good is good business. I hardly attend events because I always feel it means my looking for something to wear. At last year’s Africa Movies Academy Awards held in Lagos, it took my wife and I three straight days to choose from six different attires that I could wear. We finally decided on two. She chose one and I chose another. On the day of the event, I went with what she chose but just as we got outside, I went back to the house and undressed and I wore what I wanted to wear and she liked it.

Have you made a fashion mistake before?
I have made such mistakes a couple of times. I went for an event at Oriental Hotel in Lagos. My colleagues called me and told me about an event and said I should come around. I got to the hotel and I saw my colleagues, then I realised I was seriously over dressed. They didn’t tell me it was a jeans affair. I refused to attend the event. I just had to go and wait for them at the pool side. I have also been to another event where I was underdressed. I think it was in Delta State. I was filming and somebody invited me for a dinner. He gave me the impression that it was a casual event. I got there and people were formally dressed. I refused to enter the hall. I insisted on going back to my hotel and changing into something more befitting for the occasion.

What is the most expensive fashion item that you have?
It is my wedding ring. It is not all about how much it costs. But the thing is that I buy a new wedding ring every wedding anniversary. Last month was our wedding anniversary; I woke her up with a new wedding ring and renewed our vow. That is the most expensive fashion item that I have.

Can you count the number of shoes you have?
I can’t count them. I am not saying that I have so many but I can tell you that there are shoes I have not worn for one year.

What can you not leave home without?
Of course, I can never leave home without my wedding ring. Even if I forget it, I always go back home. It makes me feel responsible and makes me feel fully dressed. It also makes me feel very comfortable in the midst of ladies.

You sound as if you have always been faithful to your wife since you got married to her.
I will not like to deceive myself. However, to an extent, I have been faithful. I meet ladies every day. I have a lot of admirers, fans and friends. But at each point, I don’t see anything unique about them. The only reason I can date another woman is if the person is better than my wife. Friends ask me if I am the first person to get married because of the way I behave. I always tell them that the ladies can never do to me what my wife will do to me. It has not been a challenge for my wife letting me go where I want to go. She knows I will find it difficult to get anyone who will do five per cent of what she does.

But you were a ladies’ man before you got married…
I was a ladies’ man on the street and not in the hotel or my house. I have more female friends than male friends.

Do you wear boxers or briefs?
I wear boxers. But I love briefs. But since I got married, my wife loves me to wear boxers. Even when I want to go out, I would want to wear briefs but she would insist I wear boxers. She said she is turned on each time I wear boxers.

Are you a perfume freak?
No, I am not. I just wear perfume because I don’t want to have an offensive odour at any time. If I am going to stay out a whole day, I would wear a perfume or body spray. But if it is just to hang out with friends for just an hour or two, I used roll on and wear my shirt. Naturally, I don’t like the smell of perfume. It chokes me.

What do you love wearing on a normal day?
I love to wear causals. I love jeans and Tee-shirt any day.

UNBELIEVABLE: Drama in court as lawyer, client quarrel over dud cheque

A mild drama unfolded at the Surulere Magistrate’s court, Lagos, after a woman alleged to have presented a dud cheque to her lawyer as payment for his legal services, attempted to out smart him.
The client, a staff of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, one Mrs Nnenna Christiana Olusile, appeared in court with a new lawyer, prompting the Magistrate, Mrs R.B Lawal, to as why. Unknown to her, her previous lawyer, Charles Alonge was also in court.

The relationship between Olusile and her lawyer, as gathered, went sour following the former’s alleged refusal to pay him for his legal services on the case of stealing and obtaining items worth N300,000.

Olushile, a resident of 16, Michael Akinwunmi Street Alakuko, in the outskirts of Lagos, was alleged to have specialized in hypnotizing sales girls and carting away goods in the shops.
But nemesis caught up with her in August 2012, when she reportedly went to a boutique located at Akerele area in Surulere Lagos, where she met a 20-year-old sale’s girl and allegedly made away with goods worth N300,000 without paying a dime.

It was also alleged that as soon as she left, the sales girl realised that she had been duped and immediately contacted her boss. Policemen from Bode Thomas Station, Surulere that were contacted launched a manhunt for Olushile before she was arrested in February this year.

The Investigating Police Officer who hinted that the arrest did not come easy, said “ the only thing the girl told us was that she did not suspect any foul play, from the way the woman carried herself and her familiarity with the environment. She said the woman even called her husband on phone and the assurance he gave her made her release the items. The phone number she left, coupled with the information that she is a PHCN employee were the only enabling lead to trace and arrest her.

“When we arrested her, she denied ever engaging in any criminal act and at a point, we were afraid whether we had arrested the wrong person. But the Divisional Police Officer ordered two of our female colleagues to take her inside to establish whether she had tattoos on her body as the sales girl earlier disclosed. That was when she owned up that she was the right person but said that the goods she
bought were worth N70,000 as against the N300,000 the girl claimed” Drama in court

Following threats of possible dismissal initiated through a query by her office, after report of her arrest was published in the dailies, she reportedly sought the services of Alonge, the lawyer who was said to have answered the query, thereby averting the perceived dismissal threat. The case, as gathered, was charged to court where Alonge stood as counsel to the accused and her husband.
However, when the Magistrate observed the change of counsel after Olushile’s case was mentioned, she could not hide her displeasure and insisted that the former lawyer, Alonge, be paid his fees before the new lawyer would be allowed to appear before her.

“You can not properly appear yet because he(Alonge) said they are owing him, I don’t like clients to owe lawyers because that is their office and I also don’t like clients jumping from one lawyer to another. I am aware that this matter was published and I tried my best to grant the accused bail in a very liberal term. I hope she is aware that there is a criminal charge against her,” she said.
On his part, Mr Alonge, explained that, “I called the counsel this morning and told him in her presence that she called me a rogue and all sorts of names which made me to formerly withdraw the matter. I want it to be on record that they are still owing me and I inisist that my fee be paid before any other lawyer can continue with the case. It all started when she presented a dud cheque to me and I reported to the police prior to today’s hearing.”

The court, therefore, advised the lawyer to take the case to the Special Fraud Unit, SFU, Ikoyi.

We drink our victims blood- Boko Haram Member

■ Our agenda is to wipe out Christians
■ We have govs, senators as sponsors, our members are in police, army

However, all of that was, according to him, up until he made a turnaround in a most dramatic way. Nasir Isiaku is from Gusau in Zamfara State. He said while still in the group, he killed many Christians when he reigned as second-in-command to a terrorist group that wages war against non-Muslims in northern Nigeria.

The group, sh*tte, is a Boko Haram franchise. “Our own group is called sh*tte but we have the same agenda with the Boko Haram sect. You people have only been hearing of Boko Haram, but there are other deadly Islamic groups who are also part of Boko Haram sect,” he said, adding: “Whenever we heard that any of the sects was fighting Christians, we always joined them,”

He was speaking to a gathering of Christians recently of his activities as a member of the terror group. He also told of how he renounced what he called “the cult” where he drank his victims’ blood so their ghosts would not appear to him in dreams.

Read How Lionel Messi Bought His Neighbours House Because They Were Annoying Him

Lionel Messi has dealt with the problem of having annoying neighbours by simply buying their house, like a boss.
By Adrian Collins
It’s not often we hear of Lionel Messi doing something extravagant with all his money, but it seems like he might have done just that by purchasing his neighbour’s house.

According to a report in Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo, Messi is currently living in the Pedralbes area of Barcelona with his wife and son, where they bought an apartment a little over a year ago. However, they are only there as a temporary measure while their house in the Castelfedells neighbourhood is being renovated.
His neighbours, who were having problems meeting the demands of their mortgage, offered to sell their house to Messi, but the Argentine wasn’t interested.

As a result, the neighbours poor behaviour increased, including a lot of noise and loud music at all hours, but that wasn’t the worst of it. To make a bit of extra cash, they started renting out the house to interested fans and celebrity spotters who wanted to get a look at the football superstar.

When he built a wall to stop this from happening, they threatened to report the Messis for making the wall too high.
As a result, Messi decided to just take their house, as they originally suggested, just to get some peace and quiet for the price of about a million euro. It’s a tough aul life all the same.

"Why I proposed to Lola Omotayo" - P Square's Peter Okoye

One half of the multiple award-winning P-Square, Peter Okoye, last Tuesday, shocked many of his fans when he finally proposed to Lola Omotayo, his long time friend and mother of his two kids (Cameron and Aliona) with a diamond ring and a brand new white Range Rover Vogue worth N15 million.

The proposal put to rest the widespread criticisms that have trailed their relationship over the years. Lola, who said ‘Yes’ to the proposal, reportedly was close to tears when the musician slipped the diamond engagement ring into her finger, and handed the car keys to her.

Peter, who didn’t give Lola prior notice of his plan, visited her residence with the car and parked it inside her compound. On the bonnet of the vehicle, he also dropped a rose flower and a love card with the inscription, ‘Please say Yes.’ This drama was followed by a long passionate kiss from the love birds.

Minutes later, the musician posted on his Instagram and Twitter handle saying, “It’s about time,” and shortly after, he also posted that “she said yes.” He later updated his Blackberry status with “Officially, she’s now Mrs. Okoye…”

Speaking on why he decided to propose to Lola, Peter said: “it is something I had always wanted to do and I knew I would definitely do this to Lola one day, but I needed to wait for the right time. Honestly, she deserves even more from me.” he said.

On her own, Lola said, “it is a day the Lord has made. I’m excited the way any woman in my shoes would.”

The romance between Peter and Lola started many years ago, even before Peter became a celebrity.

Their relationship is already blessed with two kids; Cameron and Aliona Okoye.

A Public Relations expert said that, Lola met Peter while she was working with FKG2, an advertising company.

''Fashola deported people who were constituting a nuisance'' - Jide Kosoko

''Fashola deported people who were constituting a nuisance'' - Jide Kosoko

Veteran actor and Lagos prince, Jide Kosoko has released a statement defending embattled Lagos state Governor, Babatunde fashola over the deportation of some Ibo destitutes from the state.
I disagree with the people criticising the deportation. There are reasons for everything. Since there have been negotiations between Lagos and the state concerned and the government believes their home state would take better care of them, I think the action was appropriate.

We don’t need to shy away from the fact that Lagos is over-populated because of its commercial advantage. Anybody doing a legitimate work here is entitled to stay but a situation where they are turning themselves to a nuisance in the state and they would go as far as inviting others to come is not acceptable.
Let’s not deceive ourselves, look at the highways, are they not better? I am not speaking for the government but for myself. To me, whoever constitutes a nuisance in any state, not just Lagos, let them be sent back home.

It is very unfortunate that we are in a multi-ethnic country; that is the major problem we are having. We find it difficult to say the truth.

"I am a victim of domestic violence" - Actress Chika Ike opens up

Actress Chike Ike pens an open letter to her fans, opening up about the physical abuse she suffered in the hands of the man she called her husband for five years. Find her story below...

The past three years has been a very emotional period for me. I focused my energy on work and to build back my self esteem. its been really hard for me to come out straight and talk about this because sometimes I pinch myself to wake up and not believe that I was a victim of domestic violence. I've been through a lot in my life, faced a lot of challenges but this is one topic I've tried so hard to avoid and have been waiting for the right time but I have come to a resolve that there's really no right time because every second of the day, lives are being lost due to domestic violence. I was a victiim of domestic violence in my marriage and that was the singular reason I left my marriage, aside other reasons.Growing up as a girl. I was always known as the sweetest kid on the block, before I got married, I have been through some relationships and for once no man had ever laid a finger on me. The first time it happened in my marriage I didn't understand it because I am not the type of woman a man beats but I guess there are no types. It just happens and no woman deserves it. As a young girl I thought it was love or his way of expressing his emotions, after every beating he pleads , cries and says it won't happen again, once again I thought it was love and made excuses for him. Over the years when it kept happening consistently I started looking for other definitions for it. I started loosing my self pride, self esteem , self worth, and most painfully i lost a pregnancy (Miscarriage) I almost lost my life in the process then I realised how serious and abnormal it really was.

I have heard and read a lot of accusations from ignorant people who don't know my story,I guess that's why they are ignorant. I was 20yrs old and very naïve to the world when I got married .“ They said I married for money“ LOL. I was married to a corporate guy,who had a 9_5 job in a bank, Lives in a rented 2 bedroom apartment at Egbe.. So do the maths! . I married for love. I did a traditional wedding. A white wedding and a court wedding. So that's how much I wanted to be married forever. For five years I hoped, prayed & wished that one day it will all change. But the last straw that broke the carmels back was during a heated argument he threw a glass jug to my face and I dogged it and it shattered on d wall. I saw death flash before me and I made a decision to save my life. I left my marriage.

Am not saying this to draw pity from anyone because we are entitled to our opinions and believes. I am not also saying this to discourage people from falling in love because its a beautiful feeling and I still believe in it. I am saying this to educate, share and talk about my experience as a victim of domestic violence because it is real.
