THINGS WHICH SPOIL FAST

Q. 1: Will fast be spoilt by chewing "Paan" or tobacco?
A. Fast is spoilt by every that thing which is eaten or drunk and so is the case with the chewing of "Paan" (betel leaf) or tobacco even though its spittle is spewed, for, its tiny pieces definitely reach up to the throat. Similarly, putting such thing in the mouth that melts like sugar will also spoil the fast if the fasting man swallows the spittle so sweetened.

Q.2: Will fast be spoilt or not if a fasting man ate an eatable thing already sticking to his teeth equal to the size of a gram?
A. If a fasting man to whose teeth an eatable thing was sticking equal to or larger than the size of a gram, ate that or was even smaller than a gram which he took out from his mouth and then ate it up, his fast will be spoilt.

Q.3: Will fast be spoilt or not if the teeth of a fasting man bleeds and blood reaches beyond the throat?
A. If the teeth of a fasting man bled and blood went down the throat and its taste was also felt in the throat, his fast would be spoilt but in case the (quantity of) spittle overwhelmed the blood i.e. the blood was much less than the spittle in the mouth and its (blood's) taste was also not felt in the throat, fast would not be spoilt but remain valid.

Q.4: What about extraction of the tooth during fasting?
A. If a fasting man had his tooth extracted and the blood which definitely oozes out during the process reached beyond the throat even though it may be during sleep, his fast will be spoilt.

Q.5: Will fast be spoilt or not by applying medicine to the head injury?
A. If a fasting man applied some medicine irrespective of dry or wet to his head injury that is deep to the membrane and it reached the brain or stomach, his fast would be spoilt and in case he could not feel whether it reached the brain/stomach or not and the medicine was wet even then his fast would be spoilt and if the medicine was dry then fast would not be spoilt but remain valid.

Q.6: Will fast be spoilt or not by pouring oil into the ear?
A. If a fasting man poured oil into his ear or got it into the ear by chance or poured some medicine, his fast would be spoilt. Likewise, taking enema and sniffing some medicine up or pouring it into nostrils will also spoil the fast.

Q.7: What injunction is there if the water reaches the throat during rinse of the mouth?
A. If a fasting man rinsed his mouth and the water reached his throat unintentionally or sniffed up the water into the nose (for instance during ablution or bath) and it reached the brain, his fast would be spoilt. But in case, he forgot his fasting then his fast would not be spoilt by such acts even though he did it intentionally. Likewise, somebody threw something towards the fasting man and it entered into his mouth and also reached his throat, his fast would be spoilt.

Q.8: Will fast be spoilt or not if one drank in sleep?
A. If a fasting man drank water in sleep or ate something or he opened his mouth and a drop of water or hail went into the throat, his fast would be spoilt.

Q.9: Will fast be spoilt or not if the fasting man's spittle got coloured by something and he swallowed it?
A. If a fasting man took some coloured thread or paper into his mouth that stained his spittle and he swallowed it, his fast would be spoilt by such act. But in case, he passed a thread on his tongue once or twice or thrice to moisturise it during its twisting, his fast would not be spoilt unless his spittle is stained by it and he swallowed it.

Q10: How is that for prolonging abstersion during fasting?

Pastor Chris Okotie Finds Love Again With A Young Damsel

I hear Pastor Chris Okotie is set to give marriage another try, and in his usual style the handsome preacher has found love in another beautiful but much younger damsel, who is based in Lagos.

Sources say her name is Delphine but she is not a member of his church. She worships in "a popular church here in Lagos" and it appears Pastor Okotie just bought her a car as special gift. Or did he give her the car he collected back from his ex-wife, Stephanie Henshaw?

Governor Rotimi Amaechi Has Already Joined APC?

The factional leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has said it is in total support of the suspension of Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and accused him of already working with the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, against the PDP.

The party leaders, led by Felix Obuah, held a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan, where they openly apologised to Jonathan over what they described as Amaechi's "shameful" actions...


The Obuah led leadership, opposed to Governor Amaechi, is believed to be sponsored by the Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, and the Presidency. They were declared the authentic leadership after a court sacked the party leadership loyal to Amaechi.

Speaking to journalists after Thursday’s meeting, Mr. Obuah said, “W are pained and our heart bleeds today that the main champion of opposition in the country against Mr. President and indeed the Federal Government of Nigeria is our own son, Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.”

Hmmmn...Nigerian politicians are good in sycophancy.

Odili Joins Jonathan To Fight Amaechi; Will They Succeed?

It is clear that the BIG enemy that PDP wants to bring down at all cost is Governor Rotimi Amaechi. But one man that princezzofnaija observed is now part of the anti-Amaechi group of "hungry" politicians is Peter Odili, who lost his bid to become Nigeria's President and also lost out in the battle of who to be made Vice President to late President Umaru Yar'Adua.

Odili is back! This time he is joining President Goodluck Jonathan to fight Amaechi...
But since he had once claimed to have reconciled with Amaechi many would have thought that he would at least remain neutral in the unfolding political battle between Rivers State and Abuja politicians.

Funny enough, Odili sat next to a man that was a local dude while he was governor Rivers State, when they visited President Jonathan in Aso Rock on Thursday, all in a bid to appear "loyal". What a shame!

Speaking during the visit, Jonathan said the “new PDP” would not condone indiscipline. And it seems he was talking about Speaking Aminu Tambuwal and Governor Amaechi.

In his words: “In a situation where somebody is in a particular political party but his faith is in another political party - for those who are not holding political offices, yes you can excuse - but if you are holding an elective office, you won’t be in that party and be working for another party. Otherwise, why are you there?”

Odili also supported Jonathan by saying that some people [referring to Amaechi?] do not want to submit to the party's authority and insisted that their must be "discipline".

Anyway, Governor Amaechi, who is no longer contesting election in Rivers State as he is in his second term, has responded to the men. He simply said if he left PDP, the party would suffer defeat in next election.

Paul of Psquare explains the picture of his baby mama!

My bad! The pic on Paul Okoye's BB display photo I posted earlier is apparently that of his girlfriend Anita and their son Andre and not the other lady Elshamah and her son. (They look so alike..:-))

But the best part about getting this info wrong is that Paul has, for the first time, acknowledged Elshamah and her son. He tweeted that he has never accepted the baby and NEVER will. That's kinda harsh considering no paternity test has been done so far. I found this out a few hours ago.

Two-year-old Boy Diagnosed With Cloves Syndrome (PHOTOS)

Aidan Jackoviak Smith was born prematurely with a growth on his face and at 3-weeks-old he started to suffer regular fits that left him brain damaged

Doctors remain unable to diagnose him but hope to work out what is wrong with him by a process of elimination

They now suspect he suffers with CLOVES Syndrome, a rare condition that causes blood vessel, skin and spinal abnormalities

A two-year-old boy who suffers with a severe facial deformity and may never learn to walk or talk has baffled doctors with his undiagnosable condition.

Despite suffering with a number of distinct symptoms, medical experts are unable to pinpoint exactly what is wrong with Aidan Jackoviak Smith.

His mother, Vikki, 40, says that specialists are now forced to work out what is wrong with him by a process of elimination as test after test comes back negative.

At first they thought it was Proteus Syndrome, but after a biopsy six months ago, the results came back negative,’ Vikki told ITV’s This Morning. ‘But now they think it might be CLOVES syndrome.’

Proteus Syndrome is a genetic condition that John Merrick, the Elephant Man, suffered from.

CLOVES Syndrome is also a genetic condition and causes blood vessel, skin and spinal abnormalities.

Aidan was born eight weeks prematurely weighing 4lb 10oz on Boxing day 2010 after an uneventful pregnancy.

He was immediately whisked away by nurses at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary because he was premature.

Vikki and husband Karl, 35, had no idea that their newborn son was in fact very ill with a rare condition.

Aidan had been born with a growth on his face, back and leg and three weeks later he started to experience

seizures with alarming regularity. Doctor then broke the news that he had suffered brain damage.

‘That’s when it hit home,’ said father Karl. ‘The enormity of it hit me when the words ‘brain damage’ were mentioned.

'We realised he might never walk or talk and were worried he would never recognise us. It’s just terrifying.’

The parents, who also have a son called Daniel from Vikki's previous marriage, were also overwhelmed when doctors gave them CPR lessons in case Aidan stopped breathing.

‘You suddenly realise the responsibility of the little life you are looking after,’ explained Karl.

Man locks head in cage to quit smoking (PHOTO)

Call it extreme, but some people will go to unimaginable lengths to quit smoking. A Turkish man has resorted to locking his face in a cage to prevent him from smoking.

Turkey's ‘Hurriyet' newspaper on Tuesday reported that Ibrahim, 42, from the country's western province of Kutayha, made a helmet-shaped cage and locked his head in it in a bid to stop himself from smoking.

He then gave one its two keys to his son and the other to his wife so he cannot open the helmet to smoke when outside the home.

Ibrahim said he is trying to shake off the habit of smoking two packs of cigarettes a day, which he has been doing for 26 years. The newspaper reported that he donned the helmet two days ago, and has not smoked a cigarette since then.

Paul Okoye accepts baby with 19 year old beauty queen, Elshama

In May, we all heard that Paul Okoye, the other half of singing sensation P-Square, had welcomed a baby with 19 year old MBGN 2012 contestant, Elshama Igbanoi.

Paul Okoye has never reacted to the story in the press...to either confirm or deny that he is indeed the little boy's father. The boy was born April 7th in the UK, four days before Paul and his girlfriend Anita welcomed their son, Andre, in Atlanta.

Paul at the time told the Igbanoi family that he's going to do a DNA test to ascertain paternity. Maybe he's done it because he has officially acknowledged the boy as his. Continue to see what I mean...
