7 Bad Habbits That Destroy Your Heart

The heart is one of the most important organs in the human body, as it is responsible for pumping blood and delivering all the nutrients your body needs in order to function correctly. Nonetheless, some of our habits take their toll on our hearts and we do not realize this until it is too late. In this article you will find 7 bad habits that destroy your heart:

1. Increased Alcohol Consumption

Having a drink every once in a while will not have a major impact on your heart (especially if you consume wine, which has a series of health benefits), but if you consume alcohol regularly then you heart will suffer in the long run. In addition to the devastating effects alcohol is known to have on your liver, it can also harm your bones, affect your memory and it considerably increases the risk of heart disease along with the risk of hypertension.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the US, and by quitting alcohol you can reduce the risk by up to 50% or even more. Remember that it is not the alcohol consumption itself that affects your heart, it is the abuse of alcohol that affects it in the long term.

2. Eating Too Much Salt

Food is tasteless without a pinch of salt, and that is a known fact. However, many of us overuse this ingredient, and that puts us at risk for high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a risk factor for heart attack and stroke, therefore you might want to think twice before adding extra salt to your meals!

3. Lack Of Exercise

The lack of exercise is another underlying cause of heart disease, not to mention that people who do not do regular physical exercises are more prone to develop type 2 diabetes as well. The less we exercise, the more likely we are to gain weight, and extra pounds are known to destroy the heart, slowly but surely. Besides the fact that many people get stuck in front of the TV for hours, they also have the bad habit of continuously eating snacks of all kinds.

This is a deadly combination that can trigger a series of dangerous illnesses. Exercising, on the other hand, can elevate the mood, ensure the proper functioning of your heart and brain, improve the blood flow and cell oxygenation and so on.

4. Leaving Your Depression And Anxiety Untreated

Anxiety, depression and stress can have a tremendous impact on your overall health, not to mention that they also weaken your heart. However, if these issues are addressed in real time, their effects can be minimized – on the other hand, if left untreated they lower your immunity and energy levels, they decrease your appetite and they also have an impact on your nervous system. Negative emotions affect your heart health and that is not a secret!

5. Comfort Eating

It often happens that we eat even when we are not hungry, and the main problem is that we eat unhealthy foods: sugary products, high-fat products and foods rich in salt are some of our most common choices in terms of food. In addition to making us fat, comfort eating is a major risk for heart disease.

As a matter of fact, approximately three out of four men in the US are overweight while two women out of three have several extra pounds. If you know to be overweight, the answer is very simple: avoid over-sizing your food portions, lower your sugar intake, increase your water intake and avoid fast food and fried foods.

6. Smoking

Smoking is a silent killer, but even if we are all well-aware of the side effects of tobacco cigarettes, there still are tens of millions of smokers worldwide. As statistics reveal, smoking is responsible for approximately 30% of the deaths related to heart disease – not to mention that it is also a high risk factor for certain types of cancer like mouth, throat or lung cancer.

7. Lack Of Sleep

Lack of sleep can lead to what is known as sleep deprivation. In turn, sleep deprivation leads to hormonal imbalances, which not only make you eat more but also have an impact on your heart. The stress hormone levels are also increased by the lack of sleep, and the side effects of stress have been detailed above. For a healthy heart, adults should get around 7-8 hours of sleep per night.

Kanye thinks he was set up by someone in the Kardashian family

Yesterday first photos of Kim, Kanye, baby North and her nanny arriving for a doctor's appointment on Wednesday surfaced online. According to new reports, Kanye is furious about the photos and is blaming someone inside the Kardashian family for tipping off the paparazzi...

Sources tell Radar Online Kanye believes he was set up and is determined to get to the bottom of it.

"Kanye just doesn’t understand the entire families obsession with being in the media spotlight. Kanye knows it wasn’t anyone in the doctor’s office or the nanny that leaked the visit, and the circle of people that knew about the appointment was very, very small.”

Moment officers swooped in to stop sham marriage between Nigerian student and Hungarian woman

This is the dramatic moment home office investigators put a stop to a sham marriage just minutes before the bride and groom exchanged their vows.

Nigerian Chinedu Amadi arrived at Leicester Registry Office to marry a complete stranger - Hungarian national Szilvia Basco-Porkolab, who donned a traditional white wedding gown for the occasion.

But unbeknown to them Home Office investigators who were tipped off by a suspicious registrar and lay in wait in a side room for the pair to arrive. These pictures show the moment the 'couple' were told they had been caught and were arrested. Shit mehn! Lol. Continue...

Amadi, a Nigerian student, paid £5,000 to an unknown 'fixer' to arrange the bogus wedding with an EU national to allow him to stay in the UK. After their arrest, investigators discovered Basco-Porkolab was involved in an earlier sham marriage to another Nigerian, Ikechukwu Egbe, at Greta Green in May 2011.

Basco-Porkolab, 38, living in Leicester, admitted two counts of conspiracy to breach immigration laws relating to sham marriages, and was jailed for 34 months.
Amadi, 27, of Livingstone Road, Gillingham, admitted a similar count and was jailed for 20 months.
Egbe, 34, of Narborough Road, Leicester, was convicted of one offence of conspiracy, and jailed for 30 months.

A fourth person, Rubin Durgos 39, admitted conspiracy, in the intended sham marriage of Amadi. She was to be the bride, before Basco-Porkolab stepped in at the last minute.
Durgos, a Hungarian, of Forest Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, was jailed for 20 months.
Sentencing at Leicester Crown Court, Judge Philip Head said: 'What you did in your own ways was to cheat all those who loyally and honestly abide by the system.'

Andy Radcliffe, a Home Office inspector, said after the case: 'These were brazen attempts to trample over both the immigration laws and the institution of marriage

'Amadi had such contempt for the law that he felt he could change his bride during the process of organising the wedding and still get away with it. Durgos and Porkolab thought they could marry as often as they liked. They were wrong.
'The message is clear - immigration abuse will not be tolerated and we will take the strongest possible action against those involved.

'We work closely with registrars across the region and our dedicated crime teams will continue to make life as tough as possible for those who seek to abuse the immigration system.'
Neil Bannister, prosecuting, told the court: 'The offences came to light with the intended marriage, initially, between Durgos and Amadi.

'Both attended Leicester Registry Office to give their notice of intention to marry, on October 21. They met the deputy superintendent registrar for Leicester, Debra Webster.
'Mrs Webster recognised Durgos as someone she knew as Rita Durgos, a Hungarian who had acted as an interpreter for more than one marriage.
'These marriages involved Hungarians and nationals from countries outside the European Economic Area.

'Mrs Webster became suspicious as to whether Durgos and Amadi were going to enter a genuine marriage.

'Durgos struggled to pronounce the first name of Amadi and he struggled to remember his address.
'Mrs Webster also thought the couple were being excessively affectionate and gained the impression they were trying too hard to demonstrate they were a couple.
'Arrangements were made for a marriage on January 19.
'On that date, a woman claiming to be Rubin Durgos turned up but Mrs Webster did not recognise her. It is not known who that woman was.
'Amadi was an hour late and missed the ceremony, so a further date was arranged for 2pm on February 14.'
By then Mrs Webster had alerted the authorities.
Mr Bannister added: 'Meanwhile, information came to light Durgos had been married to a Godwin Okechuku, a Nigerian, on July 4, 2008, at Christ the King Church, Beaumont Leys, Leicester.'
On February 14, Mrs Webster noted the bride was different from Durgos and the woman who attended on January 19.
When arrested in a wedding dress, she initially told officers she was attending as a witness.
In mitigation, the court heard Egbe and Amadi had entered the UK legitimately on student visas, which had not expired.

Egbe enrolled at Leicester Business Academy, which then closed and he was concerned his visa would be revoked.
He was 'desperate' to stay in the country, the court heard.
All the defendants are likely to be deported after their sentences.

GOBE! Sensitive Situation: My Daughter Is Pregnant For Her Elder Sister’s Hubby

A True Life Story

There is fire burning in my house. As a matter of fact, my husband has sent me out because of it. I currently stay with a friend. I have two daughters; the first one got married about five years ago and is yet to have a child.

When my second daughter finished her National Youth Service, I urged her to go and keep her sister company until she gets a job. When after a year, she still hadn’t been able to secure a job, her elder sister decided she should begin to trade. She gave her the initial capital with which she traveled to Dubai to buy things.

My first daughter’s job as an external auditor is a demanding one, which sometimes took her out of the home for more than a week. To help her manage her home, she had a house-help. Subsequently, my younger daughter always complain about the house-help which forced her elder sister to relinquish the girl (house-help).

The house-help told my husband that my younger daughter and her sister’s husband were having an affair. Thus, my husband demanded that I should immediately order my younger daughter to leave her sister’s house but instead, I gave a deaf ear and I didn’t bother to investigate rather accused the house-help of trying to destroy my daughter’s house.

I really don’t know what happened but my younger daughter became pregnant and didn’t bother to inform anybody until her elder sister chanced on the results of her pregnancy test.

According to my elder daughter, in the process of her trying to find out who her mystery boyfriend is, since the one she knows is outside the country, she became very rude to the elder sister. Somehow, it led to them exchanging words, which eventually ended in the elder one slapping the younger one.

****************

It was during this heated exchange that the younger one told the elder sister, not to ever try it, as they were now mates. It was at that point she told the sister that she was pregnant for her husband.

Hearing to my suggestion that they should keep the baby made my husband conclude that I was privy to my younger daughter’s decision to sleep with the husband of her elder sister. My pleas to my husband to understand that as a mother, I simply wanted the best for my daughters fell on deaf ears.

For this reason, I have been sent packing while my younger daughter too had also been sent out of her sister’s house.

I am really confused on how to proceed from here - what will be the fate of my daughters and myself? Besides, I want to go back to my husband’s house. I miss not being with him.

Sober! MODE 9 goes emotional: I released an album, no one cared!

Babatunde Olusegun a.k.a mode 9 went all emotional on hotfm’s breakfast radio show with TuTu Adeoba and Cheezy Charles on his type of non-commercial rap, he re-affirms that he can never change his type of rap to suit an audience and decries neglect on his type of rap’
‘I put out a whole album nobody cared’ ‘A whole 20 track album ‘alphabetical order’ nobody gave a f**k’, nobody cares. You see how the industry is’ how do you expect me to feel? ‘Nigerians don’t like hip hop they only follow the hype, they don’t even know what it is’

I only cater for my real fans; I don’t really care about the fair weather, band wagon jumpers ‘I cater for my fans and they are feeling it’ i have put up too much effort in promotion of my materials’
“It’s just some certain people in their minds feeling that I’m not doing well’ I have decided I am going to attack anybody who calls me up and asks ‘where have you been?’ I have attacked everyone that has done that, I am not afraid of anybody. It’s just the way they think. If your music is not playing in clubs then you are not putting out the best. My music is not club music; I didn’t put out a club album. Real fans of Mode 9 know where it’s happening and know how to get it. They’ve seen it on TV and they loved it. So I think I’m doing a great job. Imagine you doing all this and someone walking up to you and asking, common where’ve you been? Imagine how bad you’ll feel after spending millions of naira to promote yourself from your own pocket.

He also cleared the air about the purported biff with Vector concerning controversial single ‘the truth’ released in July allegedly by Vector which was widely reported as a diss track targeting mode 9.
Mode said “I don’t have any biff with Vector. Vector was even on my album. The night that song was released, Vector called me and said someone was trying to sabotage him. He said the song was recorded in 2009 but whoever pushed it out in July had some part doctored. Since Vector called me before the song started making the waves I believed him. I even tweeted that I’m cool with Vector. We both tweeted that we are cool with each other. But people still went on to blow the story; begging for a war; I’m sorry but we won’t be given anybody a war”

Why I donated my kidney to save my brother's life - Comedian D-Don

Popular comedian and OAP Iruvwe Okeremute aka De-Don donated his kidney to his ailing elder brother, Morris Okeremute, who urgently needed a transplant to survive. De Don traveled to India a few weeks back to donate his kidney. He explains why he did it in a new interview

"My brother started having this kidney problem in 2009. My elder sister donated her kidney to him at the time but unfortunately in January 2013 the kidney failed because he didn't take his drugs for some weeks because the drugs he ordered from India arrived late. Se when he needed another kidney it was natural that I donate to him. It wasn't difficult making up my mind because I needed to save his life. I equally had a proper awareness about kidney donation and also the fact that nothing happened to my sister who had donated before. She even had another baby boy after the donation.

Don Jazzy and Eedris Abdulkareem In Battle For Supremacy?

This is not really new in the Nigerian music industry, probably the odd part of it would be that these two guys belong to two different generations in the music industry. Back in the day, Eedris was one of the best, today Don Jazzy is one of the best. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Anyway, I don’t think the issues are as bad as people are painting it. I think Don Jazzy is still loyal to Eedris who is, no doubt, his boss in the industry. See their tweets below:

In summary, Don Jazzy said something in a new song about rappers that Eedris didn’t fancy and he said he is going to wooz (slap) him for that, but Don Jazzy stylishly apologized. #NoNeedForBeefing

would be lying if I say I have never been sexually harassed – Halima Abubakar

MAYBE Halima Abubakar isn’t the saintly type but the sexy actress has proved times without number that she is, most often than not, on the level, when she’s put on the spot. Juliet Ebirim ran into her at Iyabo Ojo’s beauty shop opening on Sunday and a conversation ensued, as usual on a variety of issues:

HOW would you describe yourself?

Simple, the girl next door.

What are some of the movies you’ve featured in?

Cloud of Pain, Desperate Girls, Shadows and so on. There are a lot of them, I don’t have them all in my head right now, a lot of things in my head.

Apart from acting, what else do you do?

I’m a businesswoman, a philanthropist and a student of life; I’ll say that’s quite a lot of work.

Halima Abubakar

What are some memorable moments or high points in your career?

Any time I have a script to work on, whenever I receive an award or acknowledgement from people who genuinely like what I do, I feel really connected. I feel proud and happy.

Do you have any regret?

Every step in every single aspect of my life has been part of a journey, so I won’t say I regret this or that. I’m just going to say I am grateful to be here.

What are some challenges you encountered in the course of your career?

Before you go into anything in life, you have to go through a process and that process brings fruitfulness. So I’m going to say being able to go through all the stress and coming out smiling is one of the greatest gift in life. To be able to do something and say “Oh my God, I can’t believe I just did that” has been my joy.

So the experience so far has been worthwhile?

To an extent, yes. Being alive has been worthwhile. I shouldn’t say something that will make God angry, should I? (Laughs) God brought us here for a reason. So I just live my life – the girl-next-door.

What can you say about sexual harassment in the movie industry, and has it ever happened to you?

Won’t I be lying if I say nobody has harassed me? I’m a lady. It’s totally untrue when people say they’ve never been harassed.

How were you able to scale through?

It might come in the form of “toasting”. I wasn’t “blocked” now. While some will just tell you to your face. As a woman you have to respect yourself and set boundaries regardless of what people think. Some people think that sleeping with someone will give them what they’re looking for, but it doesn’t. That’s the way I see life. You are not supposed to do anything (sleep with someone).

So what I do is, I look at the person’s face and tell him this is wrong, because I’m sure that aside from me, he will harass another person. The only easy way is to disgrace the person so that he will be shy to do that to the next person.

You mean you disgrace the person?

Of course . My dear, I’m not there to joke, neither am I there to be rude to anybody. But you know, you meet some very rude people that don’t know how to talk. So when you meet such people, you just give it back to them. You raise your voice and embarrass them, they won’t try it again.

Do you have a unique physical attribute that has really helped in projecting you?

No, I don’t. None.

Would you act nude for any reason?

No.

Have you dated anyone in the industry?

Definitely. Am I a child? I have and I’m not lying about it.

You are a businesswoman, what kind of business are you into?

I’m a farmer. I’m into poultry and the regular cropping. I have cattle, sheep, lots of chicken, eggs, apples, yams and so on.

Who do you draw inspiration from?

I just pray. I don’t draw inspiration from anyone.

Don’t you have role models?

Well, I love Angelina Jolie because of how wonderful her heart is. She’s human and I see her as flawless. She’s one person I look up to. In Nollywood, I admire a lot of people.

Are you in any serious relationship at the moment?

I’m not interested in that question.

Can anyone or anything make you stop acting?

Yes, I won’t act forever. I ‘ll go behind the cameras. I’m not one of those actors that will say I’m good in every way or that I must be in every movie that I produce. I don’t have to be. I’ll take the free time I have when I’m free.

What advice do you have for aspiring stars?

They shouldn’t be swayed by what they see on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or what they think people’s lives are like or that people’s lives are secure. These things deceive a lot. I don’t want them to be like ‘I saw this lady driving this—, this is what I want.’

No, if it is real, you have to work towards it. I don’t believe in being in a hurry to get anything. Yes, it took me twelve years, but it doesn’t have to be that for you. I don’t want them to regret it, when they look back at their lives.

As young people, I want them to be proud of who they left behind and who they are becoming.

Keshi blasts Malawi coach

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has hit back at the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) over their request to have next month’s qualifier switched.

FAM wrote to Fifa, asking for their decisive Group F World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles to be moved from Calabar.

Keshi and Saintfiet,

And Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet told local media last week that he is not comfortable with the match being played in the city because he believes it is a security risk.

But his Nigerian counterpart Keshi, whose side lead Malawi by two points in their group, insists the venue for the game should not be changed.

“The Malawi coach cannot tell us where to play our matches,” Keshi told BBC Sport. “He can say whatever he likes, that’s his own opinion and problem. We have no problem and he is not qualified enough to make that call or request.

“This is where we play our games and other countries are fine with that.

“Someone cannot say to Nigeria to take the game elsewhere because he feels too important.

“Please tell him [Saintfiet] the game will take place in Calabar, he can choose not to come, we have noproblem with that.”

B’Haram: FG must win over northerners, says US

The United States on Thursday said the Federal Government and the military authorities needed to win the minds of northern Nigerians and to urgently embark on economic recovery strategy if it ever wished to win the war against Boko Haram.

The government, according to the US, must also provide commensurate justice to both the insurgents and the victims of their violence.

“The Nigerian government and military must also win over the hearts and minds of northern populations by protecting them and providing timely and commensurate justice to both insurgents and the victims of this unfortunate conflict. Though no easy task, a comprehensive approach that addresses socio-economic problems, articulates clear rules of engagement, and commits to accountability for those who perpetrate violence, both Boko Haram and security forces, will demonstrate to every Nigerian that their future isbrighter in a more secure Nigeria,” US Under Secretary, Wendy Sherman, said in Abuja.

Sherman spoke at the opening session of the Regional Security Cooperation Working Group of the US-Nigeria Binational Commission.

The US official said the violent Islamic sect posed the largest challenge to Nigeria’s stability as it had created “widespread insecurity across Northern Nigeria, increased tensions between various ethnic communities, interrupted development activities, frightened off investors and generated concerns among Nigeria’s northern neighbours.

“Nigeria cannot fully achieve its potential as a stable regional leader until the country successfully overcomes the challenge of Boko Haram and secures peace and protection for all its citizens in all regions,” she stressed.

Sherman therefore canvassed that the leaders of the insurgents must be captured and prosecuted.

The US Under Secretary said, “We know that Boko Haram offers no practical solutions to northern Nigeria’s problems. Instead, it capitalises on popular frustrations, religious differences, and economic and social difficulties, seeking to undermine the government and exploit religious differences in order to create chaos and make Nigeria ungovernable.

“The United States knows from experience the immense difficulty in confronting an enemy that respects no boundaries and kills civilians indiscriminately. Today, I hope that our teams can identify specific areas in the context of regional security where we can deepen our partnership and chart concrete steps forward on those topics on which we are already working together.

“Security efforts are necessary to protect innocent Nigerians, to prevent Boko Haram’s acts of violence, and to capture and prosecute its leaders.”

She said the US prescription to overcome Boko Haram “may require a new social compact with Nigerian citizens that encompasses an economic recovery strategy as a complement to the government’s security strategy. This approach will be successful to the extent that it can garner the support of northern governors and local officials, traditional and religious leaders, civil society organisations, and a generation of young Nigerians who are connected to their government, locally and federally.”

She admitted that success for the Federal Government might not be easy but promised the US support “as one of your strongest and most faithful friends and partners.”

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Martin Uhomoibhi, who co-chaired the meeting, said the BNC was aimed at sustaining and promoting diplomatic, economic and security cooperation between the two countries based on mutual respect, benefit and equality.

According to him, President Goodluck Jonathan has deployed enormous resources to confront the Boko Haram threats.

Uhomoibhi added that “the country would soon overcome its challenges,” and requested the US to support Nigeria’s security agencies with capacity building and specialised training on intelligence gathering.

The framework establishing the BNC was signed on April 6, 2010 in Washington D.C. Nigeria is the second largest destination for the U.S. private investment estimated at about $5 billion.

According to Sherman, more than 1.5 million Nigerians and Nigerian-Americans live in the U.S while estimated 31,000 U.S. citizens live in Nigeria.

The communiqué issued at the end of the BNC meeting read, “Both countries acknowledged that terrorism posed a threat to Nigeria’s national development, regional stability, and global security. In this regard, they expressed determination and commitment to further improve and support measures put in place by the Nigerian government to address the security challenges.

“Both countries noted the fundamental responsibility of government to preserve life, protect the population, and fairly administer justice. Both countries agreed on the importance of good governance, accountability, and economic development in building a prosperous and peaceful future for all Nigerians.

“The Executive Governor of Borno State reaffirmed the importance of the state government in building peace and prosperity and his commitment to good governance, accountability, and economic development towards resolving ongoing conflict in northern Nigeria.

“The Nigerian government is committed to ensuring the protection of the fundamental human rights of all citizens, including terrorism suspects. Both countries will seek to collaborate on communications strategies to engage communities in Nigeria on issues of peace and security.

“The Nigerian government affirmed its commitment to further enhance the professional capacity of the security forces to respond to internal conflicts and extremist violence while protecting human rights. As part of this effort, the U.S. Government affirmed its commitment to assist the Nigerian Police Force to identify areas of increased partnership.

“Recognising a joint desire to further strengthen bilateral relations, the U.S. and Nigerian governments resolve to partake in more persistent engagement and cooperation on security matters, working through the United States Embassy in Abuja. The United States committed to supporting Nigeria in pursuing holistic and comprehensive solutions to address security and development needs in northern Nigeria.

“The Nigerian and U.S. governments intend to follow up on these commitments and seek further collaboration to address the challenges identified in the Regional Security Cooperation Working Group.

“Both countries plan to seek participation from the private sector, civil society, local governments, and other democratic partner countries in the next meeting of the Regional Security Cooperation Working Group.”

How fake army major duped citizens of N10m, vehicles

BENIN CITY— SOLDIERS attached to the Edo State joint military anti-robbery unit, code named Operation Thunder Storm, yesterday, paraded one Kabiru John from Nasarawa State, who allegedly defrauded several persons of over N10 million while parading himself as an army major.

Parading the fake army major and other suspected criminals at the 4 Brigade Army Headquarters, Benin City, Army Public Relations Officer, Capt. Roselyn Managbe, said the suspect had perpetrated frauds, includingtricking one Ayeni Friday and one Tony Kabaka into parting with their vehicles.

Kabiru John, the fake army major

She explained that Kabaka parted with his Lexus SUV , in exchange for securing entry into the army schoolfor his son, as promised by the fake army major.

Kabaka, chairman of Akugbe Ventures, is one of the consultants to the Edo State government on revenue generation. Managbe said soldiers from the brigade also arrested suspected robbers, including Monday Aigbe, an ex-convict and a suspected narcotic dealer, Mrs. Josephine Ochini.

According to her, “on June 20, 2013, one Mr. Ayeni Friday of 17, Eguaeveon Avenue, Benin City complained to troops of Operation Thunder Storm that he gave his vehicle, a blue Chrysler 300 2005/2006 modelwithout registration number to one Major John Kabiru of 4 Brigade Provost Company for repairs on May 28, 2013. He said efforts to retrieve his car from him proved abortive.

“Our preliminary investigation revealed that Mr. Kabiru John had been parading himself as a major in the Nigerian Army. It was also revealed that he claimed to be serving in 4 Brigade as the Officer Commanding the Provost Company. It was further revealed that he was always seen around dressed in full military gear while involving himself in all forms of shady deals and duping unsuspecting victims.

Policeman kills Customs officer in Lagos

LAGOS — Port operations at the Tin-can IslandContainer Terminal (TICT) were, Thursday, halted for hours following the killing of a Customs officer by a mobile policeman.

The deceased Customs officer was assigned from the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, to escort containers from the port.

The policeman, identified as Sergeant Peter Adegbesan, was said to have left his service riffle uncorked when it fell from his hand and started firing.

Adegbesan was said to have attempted to control the riffle. As he lifted it, the Customs officer, Assistant Inspector O. A. Oro was hit severally by bullets from the gun.

He was said to have died before he could be rushed to the hospital.

In reaction, the clearing agents who were at the scene of the incident descended on the police officer, but for the intervention of some dockworkers, the killer cop would have been beaten to death.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of Tin-Can Island Command of the NCS, Chris Osunkwo, described the incident as unfornate, saying the policeman has been placed under protective custody at the Apapa Port police command.

People Who made love At Least 4 Times A Week Make More Money: Study

People who made love four times or more a week earn higher wages than their less-sexually active colleagues at a statistically significant level, according to a discussion paper from Nick Drydakis, a fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor, a private, independent organization focused on labor market research.

To come up with the findings, Drydakis, who is also an economics lecturer in the business school at Cambridge, England-based Angila Ruskin University, analyzed a year-long survey of 7,500 Greek households. The survey asked the representative sample respondents how many times they had sex per week, whether they were employed, how much money they made and how many hours per week they worked, among other questions.

But before you rush to go between the sheets, it’s important to note that Drydakis' findings don't indicate that more sex directly translates into a raise. Instead, the study found that the two factors are correlated. See, people who have frequent sex tend to be happier, have higher self-esteem, better reasoning ability and are less likely to be depressed. Other research has found that workers with health problems tend to make less money due to limited productivity and in some cases, discrimination.
So to recap: More sex makes you healthier and happier. And happy, healthy people tend make more money.

Another factor may explain the positive correlation between more sex and higher wages. People who make more money are often more desirable in the dating market, which means they likely have more sex. Drydakis acknowledges this possibility in his paper, but laments that there isn’t really any literature out there directly addressing this theory.
Regardless, the positive relationship between sex and more money exists, his research claims, and workers between the ages of 26 and 50 tend to get higher financial returns on their sexual activity. But it doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight, you get the same wage returns on your investment in sexual activity. So everyone have at it.

The man, who was only identified by the locals as Emmanuel, is said to have been a carpenter who was having mental problems, adding that he was always quiet. Kenya power staff arrived at the scene but were forced to wait for crime police officers for three hours before removing the body.
The workers were forced to switch off power at the zone so as to retrieve the body from the power lines
