Confirming the situation, the Commissioner for Information, Strategy, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Chinedu Offor, affirmed that Okorocha was rushed to the London hospital for further medical assessment and attention.
“It is true that the Governor had a head injury that arose from the automobile accident but the head scan ordered by the medical experts in the London hospital has proved he had no fracture of the skull,” Mr. Offor said.
According to Offor, the head scan also revealed the governor had no internal bleeding or any problem with his brain, eyes and other relevant organs of his body.
“The head scan showed the Governor had no internal bleeding. He has no problem with his brain, eyes and other organs of his body. His head is a bit sore,” Offor said.
On when Chief Okorocha would resume official duties in Owerri, the commissioner said: “For now, his doctors only asked him to continue his treatment as an out-patient; he will only come back when his doctors give him a clean bill of health.”
