The 27-year-old made sure her debut hosting duties were not easily forgotten as she writhed around on stage, grinding with the Bump N’ Grindhitmaker as they sang their duet Do What U Want.
At one point in the performance, the R&B singer threw Gaga over his shoulder before putting her down and spanking her bum.
Halfway through the song, the controversial singer dropped to her knees in front of R Kelly much to the shock of the audience.
Later the two ended up on the floor together with the 46-year-old doing push-ups over Gaga as the pair simulated sex.
Gaga also took over hosting duties on the late night US comedy sketch show and acted in a number of skits, as well as performing another track, Gypsy.
In one skit, Gaga referenced the long running criticism that she is really a B-grade version of Madonna.
In a sketch pretending to sell an album called ‘WHAAAT! Worst covers of all time,’ which includes such fictitious gems as Britney Spears does Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, Gaga was billed as preforming Madonna’s hit Express Yourself.
Dressed up as Madge during her Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra era, Gaga started singing her own track Born This way – which many suggested was a rip off of Madonna’s song.
