TRAGIC: 3 People Die In Car Accident On 3rd Mainland Bridge [PHOTO]

There are reports that three people lost their lives earlier today in a motor accident on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos causing heavy traffic gridlock on the ever busy link between Lagos Mainland and the Island.

The accident involved a Black Prado Jeep whose three occupants reportedly died on the spot. The driver of the vehicle was said to have been trapped with efforts being made to extricate him from the wreck.

The reason for the accident is yet to be ascertained but sources say the vehicle lost one of its tyres while on high speed making the driver lose control of the jeep.

As a result of this, there is heavy traffic on the bridge, though traffic officers are trying their best to restore normalcy.
