Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso, on Tuesday morning led a delegation of government and security officials on a sympathy visit to victims of Monday night’s bomb and gun attacks. The attacks took place late Monday when some bombs exploded at a relaxation spot in Sabon Gari area of the state capital, Kano.
No fewer than 20 persons were reported dead and scores injured in the bomb and gun attacks believed to be the handiwork of the Boko Haram sect. The governor was accompanied on the visit by the Commander, 3 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brig-Gen. Ilyasu Abbah; Commissioner of Police, Musa Daura; State Director, Department of State Security, Mr. Bassey Eteng; and other government officials.
